Dusting Off The Pages

The dust is so thick I can hardly see my picture. Yep, it's been that long since I've even looked at this blog. Don't want to think about it. Head in the sand, as always.

Today I took a giant step. I spoke with my insurance company to find out if my plan covers bariatric surgery (lapband). Yippee.. the answer was yes! I have phoned Dr. Mejias' office to make sure he's a BCBS HMO provider. Yippee... the answer was yes!

The informational seminar is Tuesday December 8th at 6:00. I have inked it in on my calendar. Whitney is on board as a supporter. I'll talk to mom when the time is right and get her feelings. It's something I want to investigate for myself, but it will sure be nice if she's on board as well.

I've got to find that macro for my daily stats. I'm sure it's here somewhere under all the dust.

Here We Go Again!

Grrrrr... story of my life... Merry Go Round, Rollercoaster, Bumper Cars... whatever you want to call the ride. All is well for a few days, then like a trampoline clip on America's Funniest Videos, I go bouncing off where I'm not supposed to go. Only it's not so funny. How many good days did I have? I don't even remember. I just know that I've been off the wagon now for four days. The weekend was super duper crazy, with all the party preparations and the party itself. It was a lot of fun, but very unstructured as far as making good food choices or doing my walking activity. Well, I don't feel so bad about the activity part, because I did do a lot of extra walking, bending, stooping, lifting, running, and general stressing out, so much that I'm actually as sore as if I've been water skiing or doing heavy aerobics. So, I'll focus on that part... the fact that, even though I didn't make good food choices, I was way more active than usual. And I'll pick myself up, dust off my britches, and have another go at it this week. Today has been not so good either, but like Miss Scarlet says... "Tomorrow Is Another Day!!"

Day 3

Another day survived!! Feelin' good! The WATP workout almost slipped away from me... but I decided to get it in before dinner, because I knew I'd be full and not want to do it. So I did it. And I'm glad. That's all for today, I gotta go fold laundry.

Here's my sheet for today.

Day 2

Today is: Tuesday, June 2, 2009
FBS: 136
Last night's meds? Yes
Yesterday's Goals Met? Yes
Last Night's Bedtime: 12:00
Today's wake up time: 7:20
Activity: 1 mile WATP!! YAY!!!
Today's Moods: Good. Motivated to have had a successful LOTOS day yesterday.
Today's Goals: Journal food intake, WWATP, bedtime 11p, Meet productivity goals at work

-Bagel with WW cream cheese 8:00
-2 scrambled eggs (Whit cooked breakfast for me!) 9:45
-A few bites of a yeast roll~~ VICTORY DANCE!! 9:45
-1/2 serving almonds 12:00
-SFB 2:00
-The rest of the yeast roll- 3:00
-3 pieces pizza (small, from CiCi's)
-3 small 1" x .5" bread sticks
-3 cinnamon buns (those tiny ones)
-small salad with ranch dressing

~I made it through yesterday just fine. I didn't faint from hunger, nor did my ribs protrude. I can do this. I need to do this. I want to do this.

~Yep. I had pizza, breadsticks, salad, and desert for dinner. Probably a zillion calories and I don't even want to think about the fat. But you know what?? That's okay, because normally I would have had four or five pieces of pizza, five or six breadsticks, and I have eaten as many as SIX of those little cinnamon rolls!!! So, even though today wasn't a perfect "diet" day, it was a very good day in that I wrote down everything I ate, I ate less than I normally would have eaten (absolutely NO junk food for two days now!), and I did the one-mile WATP. And I haven't had any major cravings, nor have I felt deprived.

~I'm not going to meet my bedtime goal of 11:00, because it's already 11:30. But I'm pretty tired, so maybe I'll go to sleep as soon as I get a bath and get in bed. Maybe I'll leave the tv off and see if that helps me get to sleep faster.

~Thank you God, for the blessings in my life. cb

The Journey Begins..

So today was Day One. How did it go? I'd say it was a successful day in that I was aware of my food intake, I wasn't particularly obssessive about the fact that I was trying to cut back... oh, yeah, I wanted to munch all day, and it wasn't a perfect "diet day", as my journal will reflect. But. Baby Step #1 is acknowledging the problem, and being willing to work on resolving it. So in that regard, yes... it was a successful day. Here's my journal:

Today is: Monday, June 1, 2009
Last night's meds? Yes
Yesterday's Goals Met? NA
Last Night's Bedtime: 12:15

Today's Moods: Sleepy, irritated (short-lived)

Today's Goals: To make a conscious effort to start changing. Journal my food intake.

~~why is it that when I'm trying to watch what I eat, and write it down, that I'm as hungry as a bear??~~

This Is It.

Time to face the music.
