I Have A Date!/Measurements

Oh my.  I'm a nervous wreck.  Dr. M's office called today with the news that my insurance has approved the surgery!!!  Preop is scheduled for 4-29-10, and surgery for 5-4-10.  I must lose 20 lb before 4-29.  That is 31 days from today.  I'm going to take measurements tonight if I can find the tape measures.  Gotta have a baseline reference point.  I haven't been very good with my protein shakes lately... pretty much fell off that wagon.  But I already had made up my mind to start it back today (after eating a pack of cheese/peanut butter crackers for breakfast).  So I had a shake around 2 or 3, and I'll have another one in just a bit, or maybe just fix some real food for dinner since I'm feeling a bit anxious/excited/nervous and have a whopper headache.  So, to keep myself honest, I'm going to start keeping track of my eating.  Starting today...

Breakfast:  1 pack cheese crackers

Here I Go...

Yesterday was my first day of being successful with the pre-preop diet. I had a protein drink for breakfast, another for lunch, and then ate a regular dinner. Whitney's chicken penne pasta. Yum. Did I ever enjoy it!! Four cups of coffee, and a couple of bottles of water rounded out the day. I simply MUST get a "before" photo, and take some serious measurements, so I can be encouraged as the journey goes forth.

I'm thinking of The Little Engine That Could.
